Classic Vader/Obi-Wan Battle Revisited In "SC 38 Reimagined"
Updated: Jul 31, 2020

Star Wars: Episode IV - A New Hope dropped in 1977. I was 5 years old. It was a movie that no one expected to make any noise to the extent that no one wanted to enter into a merchandising contract with creator/ director George Lucas(imagine that). Here we are 42 years later and Star Wars is an entertainment franchise that has dominated the American culture like no other. All these years later and we still clamor for anything new concerning the franchise. Here we are in 2019 and one of the most iconic scenes from Episode IV, the battle aboard the Death Star between Darth Vader and Obi-Wan Kenobi has been re-imagined by FX IT IN POST aka Visual Effects Artist Christopher Clements in SC 38 Reimagined. This re-imagining allows us to look at what the whole battle looked like with modern effects and is better in my opinion better than almost anything Disney has given us since running the franchise. This scene give us the viciousness and skill of Lord Vader reminiscent of the instantly classic scene from Rouge One.
"Scene 38 has been a passion project for almost two and a half years now. I’ve put every spare moment—and then some—into the project. I am thankful to have brought in some amazing help on a few major shots along the way. The rest of the project was created in my apartment on a single workstation.
I have several projects currently in the works continuing in the spirit of Scene 38.”

Check out the scene below. If you are a Star Wars fan you will not be disappointed. This is the Darth Vader that I have always imagined.
